Saic Institute of Management and Technology is a private engineering college under the supervision of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Dhaka University. This engineering college will be conducted in a permanent campus in Mirpur 14, the heart of the capital, with all modern facilities and academic activities in a pleasant environment. With the sole aim of expanding engineering education, SIMT received approval from the University of Dhaka on August 30, 2022, to run & monitor academic activities.

At present, academic activities will be conducted under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Dhaka University. The college currently has 4 departments:

1. Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

2. Department of Civil Engineering (CE).

3. Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).

4. Department of Textile Engineering.

Currently SIMT runs four(4) department where each of them has a capacity of 20 students.
